Spinal decompression works by gently stretching the spine, which changes the force and position of the spine. By gently changing the position of the vertebrae, the decompression removes pressure off the spinal disks (gel-like cushions between the bones in your spine), creating a negative pressure in the disc. This, in turn, may retract bulging or herniated disks, removing the pressure off nerves and other structures in your spine, relieving pain.
This in turn helps to promote movement of water, oxygen, and nutrient-rich fluids into the disks so they can heal. View our spinal decompression devices here.
